Renaturing Katikati
Our estuarine margins make for lovely walkways but they are also a battleground. Help us win the war on weeds! We are focused on re-establishing native buffer zones and creating habitat for our special wildlife, including fernbird, banded rail and bittern. Tasks range from weeding to planting depending on the season. Tools and high viz are provided, and we ask you to wear sturdy footwear and your own gloves. Always a good idea to bring a hat if it’s sunny and a full bottle of water.

All are welcome to join in the social morning tea afterwards, generously hosted by the residents of Harbour Park estate, in their clubhouse on Malta Crescent.
