Renaturing Katikati
Join an amazing bunch of locals for this weekly 2 hour restoration session along the popular Haiku Park stretch of the Uretara river. Tasks range from weeding to help native plants establish along the river margins to planting new grasses, shrubs and trees, to nursery propagation work. Tools and high viz are provided, and we ask you to wear sturdy footwear and gloves. Always a good idea to bring a hat if it’s sunny and a full bottle of water.

All are welcome to join in the social morning tea afterwards, featuring a hot cuppa and home baking!
